11:00 AM - 4:00 PM Guest Departures

All guests should check out no earlier than 11AM and no later than 4PM on Friday, October 21. Please let us know if you are unsure of how you are getting to the airport from San Francisco. Some public transportation options are listed below:

Public Transportation from the King George Hotel to SJC (total fare about $16.00, allow about 2-2.5 hours of travel time):

  • Locate the Powell Street BART Station, which is about a 5 minute walk from the King George Hotel. We strongly recommend getting a Clipper Card for this route as it can be used to pay for Muni, Caltrain, and the VTA bus. You will need to load $16.00 onto the Clipper Card to cover the complete fare.
  • Take the N Muni train (separate entrance from BART!) in the Caltrain / Ballpark direction and get off at the King St. / 4th St. Stop.
  • Walk 1 minute to the San Francisco Caltrain station and take a southbound train to Santa Clara
  • From there, walk 2 minutes to the Santa Clara Transit Center
  • Locate the VTA bus (route 60) northbound at the Santa Clara Transit Center, which is right next to Sonesta Suites (see CAMPUS MAP below). Unfortunately it’s only free one-way when you’re departing from the airport, so when you are traveling to the San Jose Airport it will cost $2.50 in exact change (or get a Clipper Card ahead of time). Buses are available about every 20 minutes, and they can drop you off at the airport bus stop in Terminal A or Terminal B. See the full schedule here (select Weekday Northbound, select Santa Clara Transit Center for where you are departing from, and select which SJC Terminal you will be arriving at).
  • Safe travels!

Public Transportation from the King George Hotel to SFO (total fare about $10.00, allow about 45-60 minutes for travel time):

  • Locate the Powell Street BART Station, which is about a 5 minute walk from the King George Hotel.
  • Take the yellow BART line in the direction of SFO. You can purchase your BART ticket at a kiosk directly inside the BART station platform (it will be about $10.00 in cash, credit, or debit), or you can purchase a Clipper Card and add $10.00 to the card to use.
  • At the San Francisco International Airport (SFO), you will need to make your way from the SFO BART Station to the terminal you need to depart from (via walking or riding the free AirTrain from the BART station to your terminal).
  • Safe travels!
