Our Mentors are Trusted Advisors

Executive-level mentoring is a key differentiator of Miller Center’s programs, with weekly conference calls structured around practical business curricula. Our mentors listen, ask questions, and provide helpful external perspectives to the unique challenges and opportunities of the social entrepreneurs they work with.

Sharing Their Expertise

We select our mentors for their experience in startup enterprises or profit and loss (P&L) responsibility in larger organizations, and their ability to translate those experiences into effective mentorship for social entrepreneurs.

Engaging with Respect

Our mentors focus on active listening to help social entrepreneurs explore and probe relevant issues with integrity and sincerity. They’re pragmatic, practical, and realistic without dominating conversation, yet willing to challenge for more when needed.

“What really sets Miller Center apart is the amount of time the mentors spend with the enterprises, understanding their needs, and collaborating on solutions together.”
